The 1734-SSI is a POINT I/O module that interfaces a PLC network to an industrial absolute-position SSI encoder. It sits in a 1734 POINT I/O terminal base (POINTBus backplane) and provides one SSI channel to read absolute encoder values and present them as I/O data to the adapter/controller. It supports Gray or binary encodings, selectable bit-widths, selectable SSI clock rates, data latching and built-in comparators and filtering for robust position capture
